Hello! I’m Heather Clayton, and I’ve worked in customer service, sales and administration in a variety of industries, most notably in five star hotels, where I really honed my natural inclination for attention to detail! Originally from Canada, I’ve called Scotland home for the past decade after coming over for a degree internship and somehow forgetting to leave.
I have an obsession with grammar and especially the proper use of apostrophes, which I realise can seem annoyingly particular at times; on the other hand, those around me know that these obsessive tendencies have their uses, so I’m always the one in the office who is asked to proofread important emails before they’re sent out!
When I’m not at a desk revelling in words, you can probably find me cooking, curled up with a book and a cup of tea by candlelight, or on a long walk along Scotland’s glorious coastline.
